This policy explains how ConOS handles information when you use our India-focused construction marketplace and professional network. ConOS helps people discover and connect with construction professionals and businesses, and supports profile verification, matching, quotations and agreement workflows. We aim to collect only information relevant to these services. This policy describes current and intended app features at a high level; availability may vary by feature and location.
1. Information we collect
- Account and contact: phone number used for sign-in and one-time password (OTP) verification, and your name.
- Profile and business information: role (for example, buyer, contractor, skilled worker, professional or supplier), business or professional details, skills and other details you choose to add.
- Location: city or other location details you provide for your profile, listings or service requests. We do not describe this as continuous device location tracking.
- Verification information: PAN and GST details when relevant to a verification flow, and Aadhaar verification information processed through our verification provider. We do not store a full Aadhaar number; only a masked Aadhaar value (where returned) is retained by ConOS.
- Content you submit: profile photos, verification or supporting documents, messages, quotation details and related material you provide or exchange through app features.
- Technical and usage information: device type and operating system, app diagnostics, security events, and basic information about how the service is used, such as feature interactions and timestamps, where generated by the app or service.
Please do not include sensitive personal information in free-text fields unless it is necessary for the feature you are using.
2. How we use information
We use information as needed to:
- create and maintain accounts, authenticate you using OTP, and provide support;
- verify identity or role-related credentials and show verification status with its source;
- support trust-related signals or scores based on available profile and service information—self-declared details are not represented as verified;
- show relevant profiles, listings and potential matches based on roles, services and location you provide;
- enable requests, communications, quotations and, where available, agreement preparation or signing workflows;
- secure, troubleshoot, maintain and improve the service, and prevent misuse; and
- meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
3. When information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as appropriate for the purposes above:
- With other users: profile, business and listing information may be visible according to the app’s visibility settings and the feature you use. Information you send in a message or quotation is shared with its intended recipients. Avoid sharing information you do not want those recipients to see.
- With service providers: providers may process information on our behalf to operate the service, including OTP/SMS delivery (Message Central, when configured), identity verification (Digio for Aadhaar; eKYCNow for PAN/GST), electronic signing (DocuSign, where used), payments (Razorpay, where used), database services (Neon) and hosting/storage providers. The specific provider involved depends on the feature and deployment. These providers process information under their applicable terms and safeguards.
- For legal and safety reasons: where required by law or valid legal process, or where reasonably necessary to protect users, the service or legal rights.
- Business changes: information may be transferred as part of a merger, restructuring or transfer of the service, subject to applicable law.
We do not claim that every listed integration is active in every release. For example, OTP delivery and signing capabilities may depend on configuration and rollout.
4. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain account and verification records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, meet legal or accounting requirements, and protect the service. Retention periods vary by information type and purpose. When information is no longer needed, we take steps to delete or de-identify it, subject to legal, security, backup and operational constraints. Some information may remain in backups for a limited period.
5. Security
We use technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls and secure handling practices. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please keep your device and account credentials safe and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.
6. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), you may request access to personal information associated with your account, ask us to correct or update it, or request deletion of your account or information. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; this may affect features that depend on the information.
To make a request, contact us using the details below and tell us how to reach you and what you are requesting. We may need to verify your identity before acting. We will respond in accordance with applicable law. We may retain information where required or permitted by law, or where needed for legitimate service, security or dispute purposes. You can also manage profile information and visibility through available in-app controls. For account deletion steps and details about data deletion and retention, see our account deletion page.
7. Children
ConOS is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly invite them to create accounts. If you believe a person under 18 has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and take appropriate steps.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app, our practices or legal requirements change. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date. If a change is material, we will take steps to provide an appropriate notice through the service or another suitable channel.
